This Kilimanjaro 8 days Lemosho route is a very special itinerary designed for those wishing to make the ascent to the summit in the daylight hours as well as with sunrise. It is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain.
The Lemosho Route is often described as the scenically most beautiful route on Kilimanjaro. The 8 days trek has a high success rate as it allows enough time for acclimatization. Day 0 - Arrive In Tanzania

Day 1 -Lemosho Glades (2385m) to Big Tree Camp (2780m)
>> Drive from Moshi or Arusha to Londorossi Park Gate (2285m, 2 hours). From here a forest track requiring a 4WD vehicle leads to Lemosho Glades (2100m, 11km, 45 minutes) and a possible campsite (park fees are not paid to camp here). Walk along forest trails to Mti Mkubwa (big tree) campsite, (2780m, 3 hours).

Day 2 - Big Tree Camp (2780m) to Shira 1 Camp (3500m)
- Shira 1 camp located by a stream on the Shira Plateau.

- Hiking Time: 4-5 hours
- Habitat: Moorland

Day 3 - Shira 1 Camp (3500m) to Shira 2 Camp (3900m)
